The Viarks aren’t designed for the purist they are more plug and play and it does what it says on the tin with minimum fuss.

They asked for a id number for me, not sure why, but I just made one up. Like why the hell do they need that for.

A setting editor exists, but it is not a great one, not so useful and stable.
After many tests, I realized that it is good only for sorting channels, not satellites and/or transponders.
So, when I must add/modify satellites or transponders I use VIARK's remote, to sort channels (the longer operation) I use the editor. It works.

I do not understand the relationship between VIARK receiver, dealers, forever.....
VIARK SAT 4K is a common satellite receiver, no differences with other boxes when sold. It delivers common features without any connection to any server or similar.
As soon as you upload PT firmware, only in that moment your box is connected to forever. So, you can decide if or if not.
The dealer is not interested in this operation, he will never sell a patched VIARK (at least a serious dealer), so why asking ID card or other documentation? It is not needed and it must not happen in my opinion.
