Hi mate

Unrar the mipsel
FTP that file to tmp folder at root of your image.

Now because VIX has no manual addons panel you will have to install it with telnet.

login to you VU with telnet and at the prompt type

ipkg install /tmp/*.ipk


It should install saying that the VIX image is coded differently and it may not install correctly you can try though.

Your correct mate but the plugin he wants is CCcam info or that is what he has linked to, does VIX have that not sure?

Best image to use mate is VTI

Now you linked to the CCcam info plugin is it that what you want or the EMU CCcam.

If is CCcam then as instructed you can download that by MENU-Plugins then green button.

Still recommend VTI though.

tell me use from what image and what soft for active cccam in it?please get me link DL of them.:thum:

If you just want to use cccam then instal via the download panel in VIX

Press long blue button
Then press short green button
Then choose cams
Then choose cccam 2.1.4

and just install..

Then you have to install the config file manually.. just ftp a black cccam config to etc.. in your DCC

To activate cccam.. All you have to do is :

Menu >
Set Up >
Softcam/CI >
Softcam Set Up >
Press the down button to select your cccam.. then press ok..

Your cccam is now up and running.. all your have to do is edit your config from there..

I've just got by DUO and I'm in the same situation trying to get cccam configured in VIX :mecry:

I've got up to, downloading the cccam 2.1.4 via the plugin and installing it. I understand you need to manually install the config file by ftp in Dreambox Control Center. What I'm not quite sure is which 'cccam' config file do I use and where to download this from and if it will need editing before installing it.

I'm a little confused after many hours of searches and lots of reading up.

Much appreciated in advance for any pointers :)

I guess I'm just using the folder and contents of 'cccam', folder of BIN with cccam file. Any tips and instructions on what I should be doing.... I don't fancy messing it up !

Do I ONLY need to ftp the cccam.cfg in the etc folder and ignore the cccam.prio file (and ignoring the other folders & files)

Basically yes..

I am not sure what the rules are for chatting about the contents of your cccam config and how to edit it.. So i had better not say anything until we get clarification..

Mods.. please clarify.. ???

no cams

Just installed latest version of vix. go to plugins green button (download) and no Cams come up.

What am I doing wrong ?
