1.8m is actually not a big dish.
I have 4.2m dishes and they are not considered that large for industry.

+1 agreed, a 1.8m dish is not a big dish.
However, to a small dish man or to most hobby satellite DX Men a 1.8m dish is possibly considered to be on the large size?

In the UK where we probably have stricter planning regulations than other countries a 1.8m dish is about as large as most people would go.
Apart from the hard core extreme ultra's who "go large" to feed their appetite for extreme fringe signals and anything almost impossible to get.

Sorry, to me 1.8 is big. the reason i want it because i go to morocco 3 months a year i have a dish 1.4 and i pick up a few uk chanels. I thought if i went to 1.8m I can pick up chanels like ITV. transportation of anything bigger than that would be an issue. preferably in the south of England.

thank you

Are you going to take a 1.8m dish from the South of England to Morocco?

If that is the case, I assume the easier option would be to buy a 1.8m dish or bigger locally in Morocco?
