1.8m is actually not a big dish. I have 4.2m dishes and they are not considered that large for industry.

IT does not. I bought one and it cannot open 4 2 2 from stb. I use a TBS 3904 SE satellite card so can have 4 streams live at same time from one PC I have 3 PC's so can have 12 streams on 4 2 2 at same time

Yes you do a deal with the rights holder and ask what encryption you need. Then get yourself STB that can do 4 2 2 and new encryption systems. Rights holder will then send you the control word to you.

No. I have had dishes up since 2008 and they get dirty from rain. They have not lost signals. I did have a Cband lnb lose signals when hornet decided the use the feed horn for a home lol.

There is also Jonsa in Taiwan that manufactures dishes. Happy with my 2.4m and 4.2m solids from Jonsa and 3m solids from Prodelein.
