Success! Well installed 2 drives no problem this time . Formatted both drives using the receiver however still formatted them to exfat before hand Nothing was done differently really, I will just put it down to a temperamental receiver. Yeah, I've tried just to clear the disk using diskpart , select disk then clear but leave formatting alone and installed to rear but to no avail, fails to recognise any drive attached. Drive size I tried was 320gb. I could try a smaller one perhaps ?

Tried using diskpart and hence clean on pc to clean ie wipe the drive followed by the various formatting options and sometimes none but whatever method I've tried the receiver fails to recognise any drive being there at all. Am I trying to light a candle in strong wind here or is there a method...

Tried to add a couple of pics I've just taken of my dish/pole to explain my issue of a previously sent post as requested but now realise I'm not permitted to do this. Any reason ? Never tried to before so I was unaware of this. Should have read forum rules obviously I know.

My dish is mounted on a steel scaffolding pole (16ft). About 6 inches of the pole are in the ground to take the weight and the pole is attatched to the side of the garage with t and ks (bolted from inside to outside). I've had it like this for 8 years now with the only problem being pole/dish...

Looks like I'm going to have to purchase a new motor before long so any recommendations greatly appreciated. Every sat I go to I have to trim on control to get good signal. Loose movement from east to west and also up and down on motor shaft. Very annoying.

How critical is the the lnb to point in the centre of an offset dish or isn.t it directly set to be pointing in the centre of the dish vertically wise. Any affect on signal if incorrectly positioned for wbhatever reason?

Forgive my knowledge but this is something I have never looked at in great detail but are the the angles of all holders the same once placed on lnb arm?

Is spray painting matt grey undercoat car spray paint the best option for preserving a dish after removing slight bits of rust or is another paint better?

This is tricky as dish I have to set up has no info on model or manufacturer as with motor . Latitude here 53 degrees approx hence motor elevation approx 37 degrees. But how can I calculate the dish decination from the motor arm for the dish?:confused:

Reason I ask this is that I have differenet opinions and various methods told me by others I'm not sure myself now! Simplified method as possible will be greatly appreciated for an offset dish please. Cheers to those with accurate knowledge as I thought I knew but know I'm not that sure myself now!

Tested the M1 tuner against the M3. Quite surprised to find results as I could not receive anything on 7 degrees west on the M1 (no matter how much pos trimming I did) but the M3 locked on brilliantly!:) Anyone else compared on other sats?

Question really is does it require a specific dongle or have I not got a clue what I'm doing (probably both!). I have never set up a wifi manually before requiring all specific details. Just need to know exactly (and I meen exactly what to do). Sorry for any inconvenience but I am not a computer...
