Say what sat equipment you have?

No problem, keep your know-how for yourself in case you want to patent it.

Say what sat equipment you have?

Could you elaborate more on the designing and the make process?

does anyone have a Primesat heavy duty polar mount for the Raven (Andrews / Channel Master) 1.2m dish?

That is one solid piece of equipment. I, personally, did not see such a mount installed in real life.

does anyone have a Primesat heavy duty polar mount for the Raven (Andrews / Channel Master) 1.2m dish?

@Gunner2023 What do you mean by "heavy duty polar mount for the Raven (Andrews / Channel Master) 1.2m dish?"? As far as I know there were only one version of polar mount made by Channel Master which was designed for CM antennas 0.9m-1m-1.2m. That was heavy-duty enough originally. Just google...

2m dish is it worth it?.

Well, that is question of terminology :) The dish is a reflector and the small part in front of the reflector is a subreflector. So, you got 2 reflectors (2.4m dishes), one of them had the subreflector (SUB). But, the seller did not send you the SUB, so, you got 2 reflectors.

2m dish is it worth it?.

Why plural? There were only one SUB, which was on CM (Andrew) antenna. Why the seller did not give away also the SUB? I think it is not necessary to make new feedarms, make something like on the pictures

2m dish is it worth it?.

@blejac Congratulations, you've got nice dishes! If I were you, and had the possibility to install only one dish, I would certainly go for CM 2.4m one. On the picture, I marked by red and yellow (very approximate) positions of the both focal points of the subreflector. Of course, you will be...

    Prime-focus dish - LNB recommendation

I've got several GI-209P today. :) Friend of mine bought them in Slovakia and sent to me.

2m dish is it worth it?.

Usually, if the old dish is not damaged, then it's performance more or less the same as a new. But you can be a first one to check whether it is like that..... buy 20y old one and another one completely new, install them side by side and do some tests

    Prime-focus dish - LNB recommendation

I think it is still possible to get (ebay) Invacom flange LNB. Even used one should be OK. Then you will only need to attach feedhorn for PFA. The black ring on the pictures is just a plastic spacer between OD of the feedhorn and ID of the LNB-holder (usually 65mm).

I fully agree with you. That is why I like to have all feedarms length-adjustable and also to have possibility to adjust position of the LNB and the scalar independently.

    Prime-focus dish - LNB recommendation

Inspired by discussions in this thread, made this Frankenstein. That is why I am saying that buying out-of-shelf is much easier, cheaper and ready to be used out of the box. Unfortunately, I do not have PFA installed to test performance.

    Prime-focus dish - LNB recommendation

Very simple correlation.... Quad will cost you at least 5x more than the cheapo Single. And also, when you have tested different options, you can compare performance results to understand what is good and what is not. I can not recommend this Quad for you, as I did not have it and just googled...

When you have played enough with Single, go for Quad LNB https://adishnetservices.com/product/stargold-sg-940-ku-band-lnb/
