I have fixed my problem.
I didn't think it was possible, but I was allowed to 'go back' to a previous version of Windows 11 and I now have sound again.
Time will tell if I still have the Windows update problem, but I can manage that by doing manual updates, and Windows 12 can't be that far away.
The CCC didn't change anything, sadly.
I have now discovered that since the latest version of windows was released in December, last year, Films & TV and Windows Media Player no longer play Dolby Digital sound on MKV files.
If you already had the ability to play those files prior to the Windows...
I have been having a problem with Windows updates in Win 11 not downloading for several months. I got over the problem by manually installing any updates to keep my PC safe.
Yesterday, I did a windows' installation repair. It just installs an up-to-date version of windows over the current one...
Not sure when I can access the motor, but surely F connector issues would have no bearing on a superjack positioner?
I have spare reeds if one is needed. I will check everything when I can.
This might be a silly question........
Can atmospherics affect a superjack positioner?
It seems a bit of a coincidence that this morning I have lost many terrestrial channels on my televisions due to high pressure and the same time my positioner stops working and gives the error 2 message...
I also still have my first Viark box, the non 4K Viark Sat.
I purchased that from Spain, and it worked well, but I didn't renew the sub as I purchased the Sat 4K.
I did look at renewing the sub a couple of years ago, but its serial number was not recognised by any renewal site.
I can't recall whether it was my Droi or Sat 4K that showed VIP for the first year after renewing the sub for the first time.
Both were purchased from Germany. After the first year's sub, VIP disappeared.
