Dear all,
I bought an IPbox900 one week ago and I am using a cccamd server to watch HD channels on 13-19 East birds. If you have experience on this model please help me for the following issues;
Q#1)How can I download the image from the box. I mean how can I make a back up before I start to play with files in it. Here what I tried and screwed up; I connected an USB stick used Flashtool software but receiver says "no HDD" then I connected an USB Harddisk nothing changed I also tried to connect a PC by using USB port and followed the instructions from one forum like "connect the PC via USB port then hold stand-by button turn on the reciever when see the message "USB upgrade" on the IPbox display then release standby switch your PC will see the box and ask for driver"....bla bla.. didn't work.
Q#2)How can I mount an eSATA disk to that box? here is my experience about it. I bought WD 750 G eSATA also a good eSATA cable (everybody says cable is important)anyhow box never sees the harddisk except one single time and that single minute I tried to send a command to receiver to format Harddisk because everybody also says receiver has to format HDD by itself. Anyhow Here is my idea about the ipbox900 it is worth it from the hardware point of view but from the software point of view it is not user friendly such as my old dreambox500. I hope I will be able to solve my problems at the weekend...By the way your comments, ideas will be very helpfull if you share with me... thanks in advance...
