VuPlus Ultimo - Repeatedly Crashing after Plugging Installation

Hi,

I wonder if you can please help me with the VuPlus Ultimo receiver using factory VIX Image. I installed one of the Tunisasat Addon Manager/"Spinner" plugging (I think that is what it was called). The receiver restarted but now keeps on crashing, repeatedly after automatically rebooting. How can I resolve this problem? Last month, I did take a backup to the hard disk and was wondering how I can revert back to that?

Not yet. I have used DreamToolbox VuEdition 4.5 for the backup. Am I correct that even though the receiver is rebooting I should be able to restore the backup settings?

Alternatively, how should I re-flash a later VIX Image or maybe even a BlackHole Image and restore the settings afterwards?

if you know the name of the plugin,try in ftp to find the directory usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions or systemplugins and delete the folder of this plugin.

•format USB flash drive with fat or fat32

•download image file

•unzip file and copy folder 'vuplus' with subfolder 'ultimo'
and all contents to flash drive or

•shutdown VU+ ultimo STB from behind

•disconnect all USB devices

•connect USB flash drive to VU+ ultimo STB front usb port

•power on VU+ ultimo STB

•press <-> button at front of VU+ STB when prompted on display

•our box should start programming and flashing

•wait for the message "Finished remove USB" on the display

•disconnect USB flash drive

•power off VU+ STB and on again

•Then you can start configuring and loading settings
