Hello,

I have tried several hours yesterday to configure my home network card sharing on my DM800HD(server) vs. DM500(client. Allthough I am no beginner and have the dreambox since a couple of years and done many things with it, I have currently reached the state 'i have no further idea what to do'. Could someone help me perhaps?

My network consists of 2 dreamboxes:

Dm800HD - 192.168.1.13 (E2)
Dm500 - 192.168.1.14 (E1)

The card, which I am trying to share is a Skylink Irdeto Pi-sys card. It has surflock as I know, but according to some sources on the net, the limit allows the 2 boxes to fetch the decryption data from the same card.

Now to the problem:

Prerequisite - scam running in debug mode (scam_xxxx ?), netstat -l shows the open port (i am using 6666) on the Dm800HD:

a) on the Dm800HD scam 3.57 is installed (allthough I tried with 3.59 as well). Everything is running smoothly here. As far as I know, for this card to work properly I need at least ver 3.57.

b) on the Dm500 I have tried several versions of Scam with 2 possible, both negative results:

1) Scam 3.47 - Dm500 connects do Dm800HD. The message on Dm800HD is parsing incorrent. I am assuming a version mismatch.

2) Scam 3.51, 3.51a, 3.57, 3.58 - when starting scam on Dm500, I get getaddr failed -8: could not resolve 192.168.1.13. Ping works, telnet on 6666 to the Dm800HD works flawlessly.

Does anybody have any idea what to do please?
