DM800HD (clone) won't connect to wifi

Hi,

I just bought the following:

Chipset: Ralink 5370

and I put it in the USB slot at the back of the box, but nothing happened. I rebooted the box and still it didn't "see" the USB.
Do I have to unplug the LAN cable before I can use or setup the wifi?

Does anyone know what might be the problem?
I saw another thread about the 800SE, but that didn't help.

The driver needs to be activated in some image you dont say which image your using.

i think that rt5370 chip is supported too. there are a lot of shop (for example this one

I'm still not getting my usb dongle recognised. I changed images and tried Nemesis v 2.6.

These are the modules on Nemesis.





Any other suggestions?

I also did the following:

Blue button,

then Red button (utility)

Then "Execute Commands"

Then "Show USB Devices"

Then "OK"

and I got the following screen:

So it sees the usb dongle, but I still get the screen in the first picture I posted.
And I can't set up a wifi connection with the box.

Any suggestions?

try an other image
this one does not support wifi
i tried that many times
use range extendor and connect it to your box via eathernet it is better

WORK'S FOR DM500 DM800 DM800SE DM8000

For the chipset rt5370. The metod that worked 100% for me:

1.enter here and download the file: Ralink5370-WiFi-mipsel-All
2.extract the file.
3.FTP copy your file to dreambox in TMP
4.in TELNET execute that command: opkg --force-overwrite install /tmp/rt5370sta_2.5_dm800se-mipsel.ipk modify that text "dm800se" with the model of your DM.
5.Restart the DM and enjoy.

frind send images how use in dm800 hd pvr plz back up send me plz

i have do this steps but at network show me the wlan rt5370sta but when i choose to configure it say me this message: the wireless wlan is not installed
i have openpli 2.1
please help

hi

you use old image

for wifi work: sta and ipk wlan required
look in plug in or add on menu

download nabilo 2.15 for clone or open*** for clone
reflash your box

after with menu plugin Dl & install the driver(sta )usb5370
and wlan plugin
