LT6½ OE1.6 SP2 for DM800HD released - New LT Prologue

Code:

This is the Prologue of the New LT image to be released in the very near future. In this image we have followed the Enigma2 Updates and fixes, and we have added support for the new Dreambox DM800se!

We have also done some fixes (minor) about some issues we have been reported.

Notes!!

1. MyTube plugin does not work if started from LT MediaCenter but it do work as standalone plugin. It is in the "going to be fixed in future list".

2. No dm7025 since there is issues with OE 1.6 and Ubuntu 11.04 which causes perl-native to not compile and that package is needed.

LT7th OE1.6 for DM800HD - (LT revision 3563)

Been some time since we updated the image but now we managed to do it. Our lifes does contain more than Dreambox and to mention some of it, heart-attack, divorce, by-pass operation, unemployment, too much work, children, moving to new house/apartment...

I think you got the picture that Dreambox is not at the top of the list in our lifes right now...

LT6½ actually was LT7 but we added new feature to this image so we decided to make a release of LT7. We have kept the LT6.HD skin as the skin, due to we like it, any skinner out there who wants to make skin? If yes we could add to our download server.

The new cool feature of LT7 is our brand new LT MSN Plugin. Keep contact with your friends on MSN direct on your Dreambox, get notified when you have new email to read. You will get most out of this plugin if you have a DMM keyboard.

1. MyTube plugin can again be started from LT MediaCenter
2. Weatherchannel been updated with new html-code
3. UPnp and DLNA support been updated, djmount as DLNA client and uShare or Mediatomb as DLNA servers. Still no LT GUI for Mediatomb so it is only for users who knows how to install things manually and create start/stop scripts (sorry).
4. Latest release version of Gstreamer thanks to Fraxinas at DMM, this is still not in normal CVS image.
5. Listing a directory with many movies in LT MediaCenter was slow but now it is fast again.
6. For you who has DVB-T/C mixed in your dm8000 you might have noticed that default settings did not work properly. There is now a work-around in Enigma2 for this thanks to Acid-burn at DMM.

1. New LT MSN plugin first release!

It took us some time to change LT to work with the new License of Enigma2. We had some patches in the back-end of Enigma2 which is now close-source and we could not apply those patches anymore. We updated much of the LT code for it work, so we choose the name this image...

When using LT External EPG on HDD it was not correct identified which cause Enigma2 to use normal epg.dat.

LT Addons could miss downloading dependencies.

LT External EPG is still working although Enigma2 code is close, we have rewritten LT code.

Before installing and if you have used LT External EPG you must remove your old dat file else you will have a crashing image due to old dat format is not compatible with new Enigma2.

Release Text:
LT8 SP2 is still an OE 1.6 based image but we are working on OE 2.0 and you will find a LT based on OE 2.0 later.
The new LTSubtitle was the reason for not waiting for OE 2.0 but instead we decided to release it now.
You can now get automatic subtitle as you had with 2SUB before and also change font style, font size on the fly.

This is a public beta image for testing purposes only!!! Feel free to test to your E2 capable Dreamboxes. Due to flash memory lack to lower models, some of the pre-installed LT-Addons are not in the image. Download what you want with caution in order not to be run out of memory to your receivers, or you will have to re-install from scratch.

If you like, give us feedback in order to make this image better.

Release Notes:

This is the last LT Image for the year 2012... The LT Team is here again to remind to all of you out there (fans and not), that we are not gone. We might be away for a while but we will always give a sign that we exist. Some people should have paid more attention to those that all those years supported them, and gave them the heart that "beats" inside their boxes.
