Canal drops Motorsport.TV

Canal+ has announced its dropping the Motorsport TV channel from August 31.
Launched in September 2001 under the brand Motors TV “Télévision Grande Vitesse”, the high octane channel will continue to be broadcast by other French operators.
Meanwhile, an agreement between Mediawan and TF1 have signed an agreement to relaunch the AB Moeteurs channel under the Automoto brand.
Automoto is the name of TF1’s long running Sunday evening motoring show.
It will be distributed by Bouygues Télécom, Canal, Free Orange, Molotov, SFR and Watch it.
