Don't use an HDD with moving parts for anything that needs constant access...

Well done, m8! You got it working and you documented it for others, if needed! Cool!

Not the newest PB image - there are newer ones, of course.

But if you are OK with an older one, sure, try that.

Newer ones do not have the functionality or stability of older ones, based on RTi 1.60 or 1.70.

Have a pick and enjoy... ;)

No, it's testing phase of OpenPLi-based PB image, based on The_Ripper's modification and drivers...

well, was playing around with partitions but under RTi Core image (didn't like PB :) )
and have to say Fabry's script didn't work for me (part with creating partitions 2 to 5) so used google for fdisk command syntax and usage, all needed info here http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v5/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/23117.htm and created partitions manually using fdisk :) :
OpenAzBox 1.6.0 AZBoxHD

AZBoxHD login: root
root@AZBoxHD:~# fdisk -l

Disk /dev/hda: 4017 MB, 4017807360 bytes
16 heads, 63 sectors/track, 7785 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 1008 * 512 = 516096 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 1 1041 524663+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 1042 1050 4536 83 Linux
/dev/hda3 1051 1547 250488 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda4 1548 7785 3143952 5 Extended
/dev/hda5 1548 7785 3143920+ 83 Linux

Disk /dev/sda: 4008 MB, 4008706048 bytes
124 heads, 62 sectors/track, 1018 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 7688 * 512 = 3936256 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 1018 3913191+ 83 Linux
root@AZBoxHD:~#

..and all working ok,
last nite connected sata hdd drive to check, looks like azbox can see it but didn't get IDE gender changer plug so couldn't check it with DOM connected :), HDD was empty clean so azbox stuck on VFD ready which didn't surprised me at all cos no OS hahahaha, pity

Fabry's script is image neutral, if that is what you meant...

One must edit the bits one needs, regarding the size of your DOM and size of partitions, as you feel you need them to be... Also, depending on how your USB device is mounted...

It sure as hell works, tested (with a few images, if that means anything - they all work better afterwards!!!) on my 1GB DOM!

Good to have more options in that regard, though... ;)

I am writing a new "How to" for OpenPLi based PB images, the best image around, IMO, with a great set of carefully thought through set of integrated tools...

Stay tuned... :)

P.S. here's more in relation to repartitioning the DOM, thanx to PB guys...
