2.5" harddisk and IPBox 9000HD

Hi folks!

Is it possible to use a 2.5" harddisk to my IPBox 9000HD? Or is it only 3.5" harddisks?

I am looking for a good and quiet harddisk which doesn't make noise in my living room.

Anybody who can help?

P.S.: I've seen the supported harddisk list at ABCom homepage but I wonder why there are 2.5" supported for IPBox 9000HD althought the manual says only 3.5".

The connections are the same on 2.5" and 3.5" I think so it should just plug in and go.

I use the Samsung 1TB F2 drive in mine. It's very quiet and no probs so far.

But the bracket in the IPBox 9000 only can have a 3.5" harddisk or can you fix it to a 2.5" harddisk?

Electronically speaking the 2.5" drives should connect as well as the 3.5" drives. For the mountings inside you could either try a 2.5" - 3.5" adapter, or just see what you could manage with what's inside.
