Best pvr for Dvb Dream?

I am currently setting up a pc card based system. I have managed to make some test recordings, but on the drive these are just a series of ts or mpeg files. When I play them back in videolan there is always a jolt when transferring from one file to another.

Also videolan only displays the current file it is playing,forward - for example I want to move forward to the second half of a football match I need to open up another file.

So the question is: can anyone recommend a pvr plugin or software for Dvb Dream which links the recorded files together?
