Mgcamd 1.35a questions part by part

Good Morning everyone :)

Im going to take this in Parts,

PART 1
--------
a) I have successfully installed CCcam and can make it work.

b) I have also installed Mgcamd 1.35a and am having no fun at all.

c) I have installed on my box
i) Mgcamd 1.35a,
ii) Mgcamd 1.35a/Ronaldo-CS and
iii)Mgcamd 1.35a/NewCS 1.67

QUESTION.....what is the difference between them, why do I need 3?

all three

when I installed the tar ball, all three were installed by default.

I have a dreambox 500s, pointed at astra 28.2 the the channels im trying to see are sky uk ones. thanks

How are you trying to see them? Do you have a card or are you using some alternative methods?
BTW, why are you changing to MGCAMD? Are you not happy with CCcam?

Well I am using CCcam to view them, but it seems that CCcam takes for ever to connect to the server, suddenly after about 5 minutes it starts working,ie. black screen for 5 minutes ish; is that normal? also Ive been researching about the different methods, and it seems that Mgcamd seems to store in memory whatever codes it needs, and seems to be much more responsive.

OK, I'm not using Mgcamd so hopefully someone else can hejp you. Pay spacial attention to the boxtype entry in your mgcamd config file.
As for Cccam, no it is not normal what you are saying. I have never experienced this.
Anyway, I am currently using oscam_ymod and very happy with it. :)

Ok so to confirm....I create a file called oscam.keys in var/etc and paste my clines in the oscam.keys file??

correct?

hi,you need only Mgcamd 1.35a and SoftCam.Key

put /var/keys

mgcamd -> using -> SoftCam.Key
oscam y mod -> using -> oscam.keys

ok so Im using Mgcamd

So I place a SoftCam.key in var/keys

and where would I find the astra28.2 keys to place in the SoftCam.keys file

I want to watch the channels on 28.2 astra, what would be the best way not using CCam

i think you have got only one dish/satellite?

and you want to watch sky uk and 28,2 e all channels?

sd and hd ?
check pm .

Yes I have only one dish. I have already paid TV licence, and see on bt vision box internet, but I have a satellite in my room.

you cant watch 28.2 with softcam keys impossible
