Invalid mac address...hd270cn Ethernet dead?

My hd270 isn't connecting to internet anymore....says invalid Mac address on manual setting and can't take a valid IP from my dhcp router.
Mac ff:ff:ff:ff etc....
IP 0.0.0.0

Tried resetting and reflashing but doesn't work.
Is Ethernet card broken?
I bought it from Spain but I live in Italy... How is mvision behaving for warranty?

you must flash with the first firmware HERE and you can change the MAC adresse. but I hope than you have the first 3 cases of 3 digit inchanged. take a look inside of your receiver its written on the label the original MAC. you can see it also if you see inside between the grilles upside of the receiver (with one flashlight. after changed the MAC you can flash with the last firmware from MyCavern.

thanks a lot....successfully restored mac address.

unluckily was needed to open the box (fuc**d warranty) to read the original mac address.
only after that i realized that was easily readable from the card slot :(

so if if someone is in the same trouble, look inside smartcard slot #2 (bottom) and will see a sticker placed on main board with the mac (00266105 etc....)
