7000HDPVR (9500) to IP 9000

hi,
Is there a way to make 7000 model think it is 9000?
So I could install all recent E2 images.

i was sold a 7000 and was told they just rebadged it as IPBox 9000, I cannot get a 9000 image to install at all. 7000 images i cannot get hold of in a format i kow how to install, so at present i am using the box to pay media files. waste of money. If you ever got it to take a 9000 image please let me know
