TM5402HD M3 wins the Blind Scan Speed Test Easily
Blind Scan Speed Test :-
Test = Eutelsat 10A @ 10 east scanning 10.950 to 11.200
1st is the TM5402HD M3 in 8 MHz steps = 1 min 5 sec
TM5402HD M3 in 4 MHz steps = 1 min 55 sec
2nd = TM5402HD M1 in 8 MHz steps = 3 min 25 sec
3rd = TM5302HD in 8 MHz steps = 3 min 59 sec
TM5402HD M1 in 4 MHz steps = 5 min 35 sec
AZBox P+ HD in 8 MHz steps = 6 min 5 sec
Due to the faster processor in the TM5402HD M3 (32 bit 550MHz, 8500 DMIPS) wins by a mile
when compared to the slower processor in the TM5402HD M1 (32 bit 450MHz)
TM5302HD with a 32 bit 266MHz even slower processor & the slow Sigma Jungle chip on the AZBox despite the claims this receiver is let down by an underpowered processor,
Conclusion The TM5402HD M3 is in a class of it's own with the much faster processor & the prospect of a 4:2:2 version in the future,
For finding feeds very quickly the TM5402HD M3 is the 1st choice now when it can find feeds with the Blind Scan 4 to 6 x faster than any other satellite receiver I have tested.
8500 DMIPS = (Dhyrstone Million Instructions Per Second).
