I vote for DVBDream aswell, worked on win8 since i've got it :thum:

my 2 i like are dvb viewer.dvb dream.

DVBDReam can be a pain in the neck,Or elsewhere .Often crashing.But I prefer it .I have tried Prog DVB,but cannot get to grips with it.So DVBDream gets my vote

DVBViewer is the best. Super stability and fantastic multimedia appereance.

To my DvbDreams it is easier, but DVBViewer does well but something more complicated, at least for me

I use Smart DVB all the time and it runs flawlessly with my TBS 5925 and a Pinnacle e290 usb device.
I like it so much as it is very easy to set up, takes only a moment when switching from DVB-T (e290) to DVB-S (TBS 5925) or vice versa and it`s gentle to CPU usage. The only downside is multistreams, but my laptop is crap, so can`t tell for sure whether it`s application that`s not perfect or the notebook. Otherwise OK. Second place is surely for DVB Dream as multistreams TV channels are OK.

Doesn't it matter which card you use? If you can still even find "cards"?

DVBDream my choice

i first tried DVBDream and then no need to try another dvbplayer. it has friendly interface to use it.

I prefer smartdvb for blindscanning and dvbdream for all my viewing needs. Nothing is better in picture quality than using MPC-HC via madvr with LAV decoder with dvbdream.
