Enigma2: Mgcamd/Oscam not working

I'm baffled that it's not working, but I can't get either oscam or mgcamd to work with either the newest Pkteam and IND image.

The card works fine with the Pgi image I've installed, so I know it works.

I wanted to try something new, as the pgi image has a tendency to crash when viewing what programs are running on the different channels.

Tied to search this forum, and googeled quite a bit, and tried a lot of different setting on the varies emu in the first pkt image I installed. to the point that I probably, in the end, made a mess of the config files.

I then discovered that a new image from IND was made available, so I decided to try that to see if the pkt image was the problem. It wasn't this image is the same.

So, are there anyone who got an idea on how to get either emu to work?

oscam is the best & mgcamd is a very good emu ....but you do not tell us exactly what you want to do.
Want to work with some cards or some server?

Seems my first post was eaten.

triplex1: I have a card inserted in my Ip9000HD, that I want to decode the channels I subscribe on.

heavenly: Edited oscam.conf, and tried to connect to http://root@<ip_adress>:8888 but all I got was an error stating that it was impossible to make a secure connection, and that it's either a fault with the server, or I'm missing a client certificate.
No idea how to fix this. Any suggestions?

There seems to be a server it can't find.

Above this there is a list of satelites, I think, and none of them is the one I have my dish pinted at(Thor 0.8W).

Some of the are unreadable however. Probably a different character set.

Above ther is serever and monitor protocol that has status ok.

Hope this makes sense to someone and can tell me how to get further.

What card do you have?
You and line C?
If PGI worked, it means that you need to MgCamd + newcs, in the other imege

Downloaded the mgcamd 1.33 + Newcs .jpk , and install manual, via rcu.

It's conax encryption if that is what you meant.

"You and line C" Can't figure out what you meant about that.

I downloaded the files you gave a link to. Packed it up, and transfered it to the /tmp directory, and ran "sh post_install_sifteam" where it copied the files from var.tar.gz to various directories.

How do I get it to work from here. Tried the build in EMU manager, but didn't find it there. Logged in by telnet and went in to /var/bin. Tried to stop mgcamd 1.35 with "mgcamd135.sh4 stop" but I got the errors:

This goes in an internal loop. I'm unable to stop it.
Usually you can stop something with the command "Control-c". But that does not work. I'm forced to reboot the Ip box.

Switched to oscam, and tried "oscam5.sh stop"

Then I get these errors:

Why it's trying to connect to peer1.dyndns.com and peer2.dyndns.com. I don't know.

Tried to search for where this is written, but can't find the config file where it does.

Hope this will shed some light on what's wrong.

I've used a little bit of linux before, but are no expert, so a bit more explenation would be appreciated.

For a new software-based ST 24 - MGCAMD 1.37-1.38 assign attributes: B: { 06} AND in the same INDB 7 IS ONLINE FOR BLUE KEY in INDB Light Emulator ... As in pkt - I DO NOT KNOW ...

iscan_adm: What I meant was that I couldn't get it to work. Not that the program itself doesn't work.

I tried different settings here, and I still can't get my card to work.

In the last section of your example I get "insmod: can't insert '/lib/modules/smartcard.ko': File exists"

insmod is a new command for me, so I have no idea what it does.

Have I understood you correctly that I should write:
"/var/bin/oscam.sh4 -d16 -c /var/keys >/dev/null 2>&1 &
sleep 2
/var/bin/mgcamd133.sh4 >/dev/null 2>&1 &"

in to /var/etc/rcS_user add?

triplex1: tried your example, but still coukdn't get it to work.

I also upgraded to mgcamd 1.38 and changed B to 06 as nikolasi suggested, and yes I restart the EMU by restarting the gui every time I do some changes.

@viserys
what card are you trying to use?
And also check your logs and post them here so we can see any problems....

There can be some config changes from DGS and E2 images...

I'm trying to use a Canal Digital NO card.

One of the problems I have is that I can't find any log files.

in /var/log there is only a file called dmesg. It however is empty.
I can't find anything in /tmp or anywhere else.

The only thing I have got working is the oscam "web page" and there I got these data:

I gave gotten help from someone in another forum. I think I'm closer to get this to work, but I'm still not here.

What I've done since last time, is reinstall the INDB7 image, now in version 6. I've also updated oscam to the newest found in http://download.oscam.to. Everything is chmod to 755, and I've only inmstalled oscam this time.

My config files is as follows:

oscam.conf:

[global]
logfile = stdout
logfile = /tmp/oscam.log
maxlogsize = 1000
nice = -1
waitforcards = 1
preferlocalcards = 1
saveinithistory = 1

[dvbapi]

au = 1
boxtype = ipbox-pmt
user = user
pmt_mode = 2

[webif]

httppwd =
#httpcss =
#httptpl =
#httpscript =
httprefresh = 0
httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.10.1-192.168.10.255

oscam.server:
[reader]
label = Canal_Digital
enable = 1
protocol = internal
detect = cd
device = /dev/sci0
cardmhz = 357
mhz = 357
au = 1
EMMCache = 1,1,2
group = 1
caid = 0B00

oscam.user:

[account]
user = user
pwd = user
group = 1
au = 1
caid = 0B00

Is there anyone who has any idea of what might be wrong?

this looks like your cardreader needs serial simulation.
Like usb Smargo /etc all it means is its sending serial commands via a virtual serial port...

For the record. I updated to PGI 1.3 yesterday, and after installing the addon pack v009 , change a few settings, and rebboted the box. Oscam works perfectly.

Strange that it does not in a Enigma2 image.
