End of the road for Amos 2

The Amos 2 satellite has been retired.
Primary customer Bezeq said operator Spacecom had told it the satellite had reached the end of its commercial life and was not longer fit for purpose.
Instead Bezeq’s DTH operation Yes is now using the Amos 3 and Amos 7 satellites. Operations on Amos 2 ceased on March 31.
Later on Monday a Special General Meeting is expected to approve the lease of Amos 7 alongside Amos 3.
