A+E Networks drama Six claims nine new territories

Following sales of the eight-episode series to HBO and the History channel in October, A+E Networks action drama SIX has claimed new international territories.

aande six 217 March 2017The series, an A+E Studios production in association with Weinstein Television, is inspired by the real missions of Navy SEAL Team Six, the unit best known for killing Osama Bin Laden. With a former Special Operations team member ensuring authenticity while preserving the secrecy of classified missions, Six depicts the emotional truths of what it means to be in SEAL Team Six.

It will now be shown by iQiyi and BesTV in China; Tele 5/Tele Munchen in Germany; OTE Cinema 1, Greece; Skirus/365 Media, Iceland; YES/DBS Satellite Services, Israel; Lightbox, New Zealand; Kavosh Television and Manoto TV/Marjan TV, Persia; HBO Poland; Nitro and Neox in Spain; and AFRTS/Entertainment Associates in the US.

A+E Networks says the recent premiere of SIX on HISTORY in the US garnered strong numbers, reaching 39 million total viewers across all its channels in the country. The series is currently the leading new cable series of the year in total viewers and has already been renewed for a ten-episode second season. “We are extremely pleased at the success of Six.
