Rss Robot

Just to inform you that we'll be using a plugin wich pots threads from rss feeds. It is already used in sectcionts: Technology News and Latest Game Previews and reviews.
The user that posts them is fake user called RssRobot created by me since user has to be assigned to make this posts.

I have exculed those forums from Top Stats so that stats are not filled with posts by robot.
So you will have to visit those sections to see new threads as you will not see when they are updated in top stats.
Now if you don't want to see posts from those sections when you visit new posts link http://www.sat-universe.com/search.php?do=getnew
you can exclude them in your user cp, just go to edit options:
http://www.sat-universe.com/profile.php?do=editoptions

Last option wich is installed today is: Exclude Forums from "Get New Posts"
You can exclude any forums there from new posts listing.

EDIT: RSS Forums have been removed, but you can still use exclude forums option in case you are not interested in some sections
Rss feeds can still be found here:
http://www.sat-universe.com/newsview.php

RSS page instead of RSS forums

I've deleted RSS forums and moved the feeds to a dedicated page for rss feeds. That gives an option of having more feeds to follow and removes unnecessary threads from forums.

Rss page containing these feeds:

Football on Satellite
Yahoo World News
Yahoo Technology News
Independent Sports News
Yahoo Sport News
Yahoo Most Viewed Feeds
CNN World News
BBC Sport News
CNET Technology News
Funny Quotes
Washington Post World News
Game Previews
Game Reviews
BBC Technology News

can be found at:

Added a page listing all rss feeds from the forums. You can subscribe to them to keep you up to date. They display first post of a thread. And only threads not older then 15 days.
So it is not intended to replace visiting the board :)
Just if someone uses rss to keep track of things they can subscribe to notice new things easier.

For dreambox users you can add them to feeds.xml of rss reader next to tv guides if you wish. To see what's going on from dreambox. But you can't view forums that are not opened to guests.
RSS feeds url added to navigation bar next to calendar. Leads to this page:

Some screenshots of what it looks like on dreambox.
