recording

hello there
help me solve the recording problem.when i finish recording and go mediaplayer to play the the recorded files ,they do not play?also iwant to change the rcording path from usdextra to media usb or hdd ,it does not change?

the problem is that the path media/undergraduate can not be
changed to media had.on OpenATV image it is media hadd movie path, I
recorded from sd channels and was OK.when I recorded from HD channels, I
could not play the files???
Why is that???is the file format?
