just checked and on my Tm5402 M2 HD
i got Level = 97% Quality = 84/85%
Astra 1L 12721 H 22000sr S2 HD
Even ok steady signal at this moment and its pouring Rain very heavily just now aswell as i type this msg ...
PID Search finds 19 channels
een is ok aswell showing a program called Baantjer up now at 15:10pm according to my EPG

What LNB is on your set up Barney? MTI, Inverto, Technomate TM-1?
I'm thinking of trying the TM-1 (Technomate) one as I think this MTI one I am using has gaps in the high horizontals in its reception.

I suppose you've ruled out the possibility of DECT phone interference.
I know it's generally reckoned to be in the 11630-11650MHz and 12480-12500MHz ranges but I've had it just outside these bands before.
It one case it was my BT Home Hub and a reboot cured it.
Just a thought before you go climbing ladders.

Think its more of an issue like (should have said I tuned the channel in previously with slightly different alignment and an Inverto LNB, so not phone interferance):

So Alignment, LNB Skew & LNB type Used are all probably factors (Colin a m8 with Electric Engineering qualifications used an MTI one in my instalation, but I think he used a bog standard one, which is great for fixed dish instalation, you can peak the alignment, lnbs, skew's to get the best from all freqs, But motorized requires the best from your LNB [more chance of catching interference from adjacent satellites and other factors] Loooking at MTI Blue Line or Technomates TM-1 Gold)
