I've done as advised... but got only 8 new channels Maybe because they have new frequencies I do not know.

Majority of ART package is not locked ( 90%) and most of OSN package neither.

I have called company again and they do not have clue on types. Technical support is available in the morning hours only...

Ok mate

Without LNB type im guessing it could be a oddball. Find out LNB type and i can be precise.

Did you knock off the 22khz switching? Also try treshold at 00000

Finally I've got some info about LNB but since without broadband I have failed to provide my feedback earlier.

This is the follow up:

1. My DM 7020 receiver works perfectly fine in Satellite shop near my place and gets all channels properly - TESTED.

2. My TECHNOSAT receiver gets all channels in my place properly with next settings:

LNB 1 - Nilesat
LNB Type- 10 600
22 KHz off
Disec command - 1

================

LNB 2 Hotbird
LNB Type- UNI 1
22 KHz Auto
Disec command - 2

====================

I have noticed actually some details about channels I cannot fetch and that is on DM 7020 in my place I cannot get Horizontal frequencies above 11600 MHz or more but only on Nilesat. I believe on Hotbird I can get all frequencies - full range.

Problem is that HB works only with Disec A/B

And Nilesat only with Disec 1 ( not with A/A)... and it does not get Horizontals High Range

==========================================================

They told me about LNB types:

Hotbird: Universal

Nilesat : QUATTRO LNB Eurostar ! ( Finally)

I undersatnd this quattro sends 4 different for each range ( low Vertical, Low Horizontal, High Vertical and High Horizontal )

=======================================================

Please advise next steps.

I'll try to switch DM ot another electrical power supply spot and will try to measure Voltages on switching bu tI still believe it is about LNB.

My settings are :

LNB0 Nilesat
All set to 10 600 ( Even threshold)

Lnb commmand 1

22MgHz off

Voltage H/L

=======================================================

Please help - this is quattro lnb Eurostar on SMATV system.

Cheap receiver works but DM fails

Hello

As i see it it should work with those settings.

However i have no SMATV distribution knowledge, but i do know the DReamboxes can be picky with certain switches.

My apologies but i think this is now a question for SMATV installer.

SMATV company wont help they say it is illegal box

I have measured voltage

It is not giving 18 V on Horizontal changes on 7W but on HB 13 it does sends 18 V while changing from V to h channel

Help - I cannot get Horizontals on quattro LNB DM7020

Now I cannot get Horizontals in HB at least I think - I do not know which to test.

I have done measurements on DM output while changing from V to H

Only if I have settings on receiver Diseqc Command for LNB as AA AB BA AB or BB it changes voltage fast from 13 to 18 respectively.

Since Hotbird is set as A/B command it switches properly

But Nilesat and Arabsat are set as 1 and 2 commands for Diseqc - and in such case voltage is changing but very slow - it takes 6 seconds to swap between 13 to 18V.

Then I set up everything with AA AB BB BA combinations and I ve tried many ...

Unfortunately on Nilesat and Arabsat I cannot tune- it does not find anything in case commands are AA AB BB BA combinations. But it does swithc voltage faster while changing between H to V polarization.

When I change commands for Nilesat and Badr to 1 and 2 respectively then I can tune but not horizontals

On Hotbird situation is opposite

It only works/tune with DiseqC command A/B and if I set it as 1,2,3 it does not tune at all.

I do perform soft reboot every time I change settings.
===========================================================

It is not quite SMATV - it is only three antennas with diseqc
HB has universal and Nile has Eurostar Quattro LNB

I have measured power supply voltage and tried in many spots in flat but it is stable and 240 V ~.

==========================================================

I have tried E1 4.70 and E2 4.4 and I have refreshed satelites.xml but it did not help.

I must confirm again that receiver works perfectly fine with simple A/B settings in satellite shop near by and it does tune all frequencies.

Also in my place TECHNOSAT receiver is getting all channels properly with simple settings Diseqc Commands 1,2 for Nilesat and HB respectively.

=================================================================

Any suggestion from experts would be highly appreciated

Thanks in advance.

I do not know what to try more.

Since I have Barry Allen and 4.4 E1 togetther with 4.7 on uisb

and E1 4.40 on flash,

What is the latest stable image that I can put on flash to try to tune? How to put this on flash and keep BA?

==========================================================

Any other suggestion is highly appreciated /; before I flash //

For a 7020 EDG4.4 or Sifteam are good choices, however i dont think a image change will cure your problem.

I seem to think the DM does not like the switch that is in use. It is well documented that DM receivers are picky which switches they use.

I hope there is a solution for you.

Will try mate. I really appreciate your help and support till now.

Could you push it just a little bit more forward and tell me what Sifteam version is stable?

I will try both EDG 4.4 and Sifteam.

Also , if it is not a problem, for you and does not take much time, please let us know where is this information documented regarding DM's sensibility to LNBs?

Is it the same case with Vu+ ?

I mean, if all this fails, I will need to change the box rather than the flat :eek:)

Thanks a lot

Hi

Sifteam latest version is stable!

I never said DMs are sensitive to LNB's just switches. There could be a solution to your problem don't take my word for it a gospel but i suspect a problem with the switch.

Never tried a switch on the VU so i have no experience of that. HD Dreamboxes are also picky with the switches it uses, some work some do not.

If you go into you LNB0 LNB1 LNB2 settings what other options do you have in there?

Have you tried using diseqc 1.1 just to see? Any options for commited or uncommited switches?

Sorry

I meant : wher eis documented that DM s are sensitive wiht swithces?

I have tried 1.1 . Does not help

Options available are:

Increase Voltage
12 V?
Swap commands
Fast Diseqc
Sequence Repeat...
|I have tried default ( not selected ) and selected

Do not know what to try more

I think image flash would help as it may not be a swithc problem
As I said, I have measured voltage:

Without link to switch directly in f connector DM send fast commadns and swap voltage only on AA/ AB BA and BB combinations for DisecQ

Why does takes 6 seconds to swapt voltage once I use 1,2,3 as DiseqC input parameters if not because of image fault?

I believe there is hope that it is not about swithc as this exercise took place with only DM involved

another image act the same way

But,

I have tested now 10700 Frequency in all three fields.

Now in Satfind and in Manual TP scan I can lock Horizontals

I found 30 more channels but not all

Aldough he sees 12303 H on 7W as Locked it founds only coplye of radio stations but not TV channel

Also while using 10700 frequency on LNB I cannot see SKY News on 7W - it is not tuning it and than I cannot lock most of verticals?

Anybody ? Advice?

Thanks
