your usb is incorrectly formatted,partitioned.
you have two partition in your usb ,type 7 and 83.
07 = OS/2 IFS HPFS :mad:
83 = linux ext2 or ext3

you need to clean,remove previous incorrect partitions ;and create single ext2 or ext3.

from telnet remove all partition; first and second.
create single ext2 or ext3 ,format it, copy enigma2,and you are done..

create partition:
fdisk /dev/sda
l list partition.
d delete partition *two time*.
n create new partition
w save and exit
q quit

format it:
mkfs.ext2 /dev/sda1

mount -t ext2 /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb/usb0

copy enigma2.tar.gz to /mnt/usb/usb0

cd /mnt/usb/usb0
tar xzvf enigma2beta2.tar.gz

done..

on xp you can try paragon partition manager to format to ext2.

@Bro1,
on this way how is described, no one was stick, where I failed, of course, except those who were physically defective. Try format stick in your PC in fat. Start image in flash ( sif, NLB, or what you have), and when you get picture on TV, put usb and check if you have usb0 ( mnt/usb/usb0)- if you have not usb0 you could not format it correct. try format again or use Partition magic for recovery.I prepared a lot of sticks for enigma- Kingston, Transcend, takeMS, Apaccer and many more.

when unpacking the enigma in putty i can see everything it is unpacking but am told that is not right,i first formatted stick to fat32 then in paragon i formatted it to ext2 then put back into the box while it was on,the i started up kcc and clicked experts to see if partiton was ok,i then closed down kcc took stick out of box then put back in whilst the reciver was still on,i then ftpe`d the image over to usb0 folder and closed program when done,after that i opned putty and sent the correct commands to it after all this is done i turned of box and then bakc on pressing the correct button and it is still stuck on booting,i know the bootargs is ok as a friend sent me a usb stick with enigma 2 on it already done and that botted up fine,,,,,,,,,and before all this i prepared stick with acers guide

i am now pulling my hair out

If you unpacked enigma2 on stick, you must not see any error message when is all finished. Only you can see prompt to end. Type sync and wait new prompt appear. Go in FTP to check folder usb0- you need to see all of folder of enigma. Did you see it?

tar xvzf enigma.tar.gz
v for verbose ;show files being decompressed.
after decompresing ,unmount your usb.
umount /dev/sda1
unmounted usb ,will no boot correctly.

post your booting log.
