Broken dm800se

OK friends, my dm800se died so I'm looking at other boxes I have a gsky v7 on way and wanting to get a second box also. I will be looking at 97W to 133W looking around on ebay I've seen some cheap freesat boxes, will they work in North America? Maybe someone looking at same sat chime in with a little knowledge.

I don't have a clue what happened, I downloaded up to date openpli 4.0 came in from outside and it was dead. Under the tuner is 4 or 5 red lights that blink on and off. Tried everything to revive the box but I cannot even read it with any program.

error code? mine doesn't show anything. whats the code mean as far as fixing it?
