Hi I can not connect to the samba server from my computer. I get the login screen to access the server but no matter what user/password i use they are not accepted. I have tried the obvious root/relook but no avail.

My smb.log file reports error:

No interface found for address 127.0.0.0
load_client_codepage: filename /usr/lib/codepages/codepage.850 does not exist.
Packet send to 127.0.0.0(137) failed ERRNO=Permission denied
Packet send to 127.0.0.0(137) failed ERRNO=Permission denied

Any help appreciated as its driving me nuts.

edit /etc/hosts or /var/etc/hosts depending on what image you have

should look like this

127.0.0.1 ipbox

as for codepage.850 dir and page are not there you can find it on the net google
then make the folder it needs and add the codepage

in DGS and NLB, its smb.conf pointing to cuberevo hostname,
so it should be

127.0.0.1 cuberevo

Still no joy

I have tried to edit the host file but still i can not log onto samba server?

my host file is originally like this:
127.0.0.0 cuberevo localhost.localdomain localhost

i have tried the changes mentioned but still i can not connect to samba server.
