Joj targets illegal Czech distribution

The Slovak broadcaster Joj plans to stop the illegal distribution of its proprietary channels Plus and Wau in the Czech Republic.
According to Parabola, it began the first stage of clamping down on illegal distribution of its services last year, when it withdrew the channel Joj, replacing it with a specific channel aimed at the Czech market.
The latter, known as Joj Family, offers viewers content from Joj, along with Czech and foreign films and series, had already attained a 1% audience share as of this January.
Only two channels from Joj – Joj Family and Joj Cinema – are currently distributed legally in the Czech Republic.
