The Seventh Edition of the Royal Trophy will be held at Dragon Lake Golf Club, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China from 20-22 December 2013. The Royal Trophy Championship is a team match play between the top players from Asia and Europe. The three-day championship totally include 16 matches of foursomes, four- ball and single.

Royal Golf Trophy Championship Rules

Foursomes Match: There are totally 4 matches with two players vs. another two players. Each side plays one ball. The players take turns to hit the golf ball until they hit the ball into the holes.

Four-ball Match: There are totally 4 matches with two players of one side vs two players of the other side. Each player plays one ball. Every two players form a team. The better score of the team is credited as the score of the team.

Single Match: There are totally 8 matches. For a real match play, there is only one player vs the other one. The player with the lower number of strokes is the winner.

Result: There are 16 matches in three days. The team with the highest accumulative points is the final winner.



Royal Trophy Golf Championship Schedule Match Timing

December 20 - Friday - 11:00am-4:00pm - Four Matches-Foursomes

December 21 - Saturday - 11:00am-4:00pm - Four Matches-Four-ball

December 22 - Sunday - 11:00am-4:00pm - Eight Matches-Singles



Royal Trophy Golf Championship Team Selection

Both European and Asian teams for the Royal Trophy Championship have 8 players each led by the team leader who does not participate in any match. Six players of each team are selected based on the scoreboard of each championship and the world rank each year. The remaining two players are invited by the team leader via the invitation card.
