Lucy (Dianne Wiest) and her sons, Michael (Jason Patric) and Sam (Corey Haim), move to Santa Carla to live with Lucy's lovable but curmudgeonly father (Barnard Hughes). When Michael visits the cavernous hangout of David and his cronies and unwittingly drinks from a wine bottle full of vampire blood, he becomes an unwilling member of the bloodsucker biker gang. Soon, it's up to Sam and the Frog brothers to destroy David and his ilk without killing Michael and Star.

THE PERFECT STORM
Based on the novel by Sebastian Junger, which was in turn loosely based upon true story of the Andrea Gail fishing vessel, The Perfect Storm details the events preceding the ship’s sinking in 1991. George Clooney depicts the boat’s captain, William ‘Billy’ Tyne, a divorced father of two disappointed by his crew’s lackluster performance during the tail end of the fishing season. Despite the risks of a soon approaching storm, Billy and his crew reluctantly decide to embark upon one last expedition in an attempt to recuperate their losses. Since the men rely upon their fishing income for their yearly expenses, the potential danger involved in the journey seems justified. The endeavor was fruitful for the most part, and the men offset the season’s earlier losses. Their happiness would soon turn bitter, however, when Andrea Gail’s freezer begins malfunctioning; without it the crew’s haul would quickly perish. To prevent that from happening Captain Tyne made no haste in returning to shore, well aware that he would be traveling into the eye of the storm. Nonetheless, with his years of experience he believed he could navigate through the rough tides. It soon becomes evident that the Captain is in over his head, however. When a fallen antenna disconnects the vessel from outside communication, and a rescue copter crashes while refueling, the men are left to fend for themselves. The decisions they must make from this point forward are, quite literally, the difference between life and death. Regardless of the outcome, The Perfect Storm packs enough suspense to keep audiences glued to their seats. The film’s soundtrack features the sounds of renowned artists such as John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Marley, and many more. Both a critical and commercial success, the picture received two Oscar nominations and grossed more than $328 million in sales worldwide.

Sam Gillen is a convict who gets sprung from Federal custody somewhere in the Midwest by his bank-robbing partner. In their last heist, Sam's partner killed a bank guard, and Sam took the rap for it. Sam's partner gets killed in the break, forcing Sam to go it alone in search of the loot, which is buried on the property of a farm inhabited by Clydie Anderson, the widowed mother of two kids named Mike "Mookie" Anderson and Bree Anderson. Attempting to sneak into Clydie's house and "borrow" some salt for a campfire-broiled steak, Sam catches sight of Clydie taking a shower. Sam is spotted by Mookie. After saving Clydie, Mookie, and Bree from a trio of intruding thugs, Sam discovers that Clydie is holding out from selling her place to property developer Franklin Hale, who fears that he will be put out of business if he doesn't get Clydie's land so he can develop on it. Sam decides to hang around, sleeping first in Clydie's barn and then in her bed, while repairing her late husband's Triumph motorcycle. And Hale hires an intimidation expert named Dunston, to force Clydie into selling her land. Secretly on Hale's payroll is corrupt sheriff Lonnie Cole, a sometime lover of Clydie. A jealous Lonnie discovers Sam's true identity and threatens to expose him if he doesn't leave. Not wanting to place Clydie in additional danger for helping a fugitive, Sam decides to leave, only to find that Hale has already blown the whistle on him in an attempt to get him out of the way. After evading police chasing him in cars, land rovers, helicopters, and on motorcycles and horseback, Sam returns to save Clydie from Dunston and Hale, who are planning to burn down her house.

Angel and Danny clash with everyone, whilst trying to uncover the truth behind the mystery of the apparent "accidents" in the increasingly strange rural town. ENEMY AT THE GATES
Vassili Zaitsev's (Jude Law) grew up as a young Russian shepherd, trained by his grandfather (Mikhail Matveev) to snipe wolves from a great distance. With practice Zaitsev became a master marksman, and soon advanced beyond his teacher in skill. Even as the military's most coveted shooter however, Vassili was still haunted by his first, unsuccessful shot while under his grandfather's tutelage. This experience, coupled with a natural sense of humbleness, causes Zaitsev to continuously underestimate himself. During the infamous Battle of Stalingrad from 1942 through 1943, Russian and German forces fought relentlessly for months; millions were killed throughout what would later become one of history's most gruesome clashes. The devastating losses were decreasing Russian morale, and the government sought a method to reverse this phenomenon. The Battle of Stalingrad was not a simple skirmish; if Nazi forces successfully defeated their opponents, Germany stood a good chance of conquering the massive country. Losing was an unacceptable option for any patriotic Soviet. Herein enters Zaitsev, a sniper with impeccable precision who earns the awe of his superiors. Commisar Danilov (Joseph Fiennes) uses Vassili's accomplishments as inspiration for a series of stories in the army's newspaper, transforming the young man into a national hero. Vassili's newfound status, while flattering, bothers the modest sniper who constantly questions his true abilities. This is especially true when Hitler's forces reveal their sniper, an equally skilled shooter named Erwin König (Ed Harris) whose sole mission is to assassinate Zaitsev. Both men play a ruthless game of cat and mouse involving heavy doses of psychological warfare, and unfortunately an innocent bystander. König is not the only man Vassili is battling. Although a less violent competition, Danilov and Zaitsev are both attempting to court the beautiful Tania Chernova (Rachel Weisz), a local militia member whose grievances with Hitler transcend mere territorial wars. Enemy at the Gates was a commercial success, earning nearly $97 million at the box office, fully recuperating its $68 million budget. The picture is based upon a chapter in William Craig's 1973 novel by the same name, which in turn was inspired by a nonfictional rivalry between Zaitsev and his Soviet counterpart, Major Erwin König. Rating: Rated R for strong graphic war violence and some sexuality.
