Im not the best person to ask as I have a 95cm dish and I am in NW England (so I dont get nilesat myself)(I also have a larger dish that Ive been meaning to set up for about 3 years now.....)
But if you check out frequency listing sites such as:
King of Sat
SatCoDX
Lyngsat
Flysat
Most of them have footprints for the satellites and from this you can work out an aproximate dish size.

Nilesat is available in Nigeria at 7W on KU band.You also need a minimum of 1.8M size dish.
There are several FTA and encrypted channels whose frequencies and symbol rates you can get from such websites as:Lynsat & Flysat etc.
For Astra & Hotbird,you will need much bigger dish, at least 3M ,for comfortable viewing.
