DMV and Director encryption systems

I don't know DMV. Director is a professional encryption system developed by Tandberg (now Ericsson) used for feeds (mainly sport contributions). Each single receiver must be remotely authorized from feed operator to get the trasmission.

No, RAS and Director are two different encryption system. RAS uses a 7-digit key the operator must manually introduce in both encoder and decoder (see thread below), Director works only by remote authorization of each receiver. If broadcaster does not address and authorize the receiver you can not decrypt the signal.
Both encryptions are developed by Tandberg but they are not the same.
