CubeRevo 250HD PVR-Recording issue

Oh hai,
First of all I'm new to this website, it is very interesting...
Well, my issue with my CubeRevo 250HD satellite receiver wich is running on verion 0.6.1pgi something like that, is that it cannot recongize external HDD plugged in the usb port. It showes me that a media source is connected but I cant use it as a HDD for recording channels and I also cannot go to HDD setup menu... I want to record channels! and the receiver allows recording only on external HDD and I dont know what do.
I want to record stuff doesnt matter how, any suggestions?

i suggest you to load last dgs sifteam image ad use cmd into telnet :

sh /var/etc/SifTeam/bin/advanced_command.sh MAKE_USB_AS_DISK

Follow instrunction on video.

I struggle with same problem.

can someone please give me an link to the video, and link to download of latest image?

And maybe please explain to a newbie this prosess in more of detail?

I try it.

I use PGI v1.2 in flash.
This image is a bit strange hdd handle.
Plug in the hdd and power on. In the menu choose the HDD setup and then the format when next start stb.
The HDD will formatting ext3 (linux) yet you can use your HDD for recording or timeshift.
