I have done a bit more research on the DM100, only availabe from germany at the moment, but have a usb port and can take a laptop hard drive upto 500 mb they cost around 142 euro which is just over £100 plus the shipping costs and same memory as the DM500.

1. they will be original and not the burn out copies like the DM500's from china

2. the use of the usb port & hard drive facility

hopefully i'll get an email back from the supplier tomorrow with final costs including shipping, then i'll order 1
