Hello,
I am new to sat tv. I have bought a humax hdci 2000 and a fracarro penta 85cm dish with twin monoblock lnb. I am having trouble setting the dish to see two good signals at the moment,I usually get one sat or the other.
But my question is I have seen people recommend linux based boxes and I wondered why this was? Can you do more with this type of box? Are these the next generation?
Thanks for any feedback.
Chris.

Advantage of linux boxes is that their firmwares are mostly open-source meaning everyone can work on them and bring something new and improved.
There has already been a lot of development and enough emus available to ensure that you can get most out of the receiver.
