Recap:
We will find out if this goes through and C-Band reception is totally destroyed by evil mobile phone companies, they shouldn't need any more bandwith....After WRC-15 [World radiocommunication conference 15] which will be held in Geneva Nov. 2-27.

WRC-15 report: (thanks sofien72tu)

C-band: WRC-15 reconfirmed the need to protect critical fixed-satellite service (FSS) services throughout the world in this unique band. The lower 200 MHz of the C-band downlink frequencies (3400-3600 MHz) were identified for IMT in ITU Regions 1 and 2; In Region 3 a handful of countries will sign a footnote allowing potential IMT use of these 200 MHz, while the vast majority of the region will continue satellite use of this band with no change. A position of “No Change” was adopted in the band 3600-4200 MHz, and only in Region 2 was a footnote agreed which identified IMT for a few countries in the 3600-3700 MHz band. A “No Change” decision means that administrations have recognised the vital and widespread use of those frequency bands by satellite services. Anywhere that IMT is deployed, it will be subject to adherence to strict protection requirements with neighbouring countries. In addition, the Conference declined to consider a proposal for IMT systems in the C-band uplink frequencies (5925-6425 MHz).

Eutelsat 5°W

CRTV (CRTV Cameroon) Freq 3743, Left Circular Polarity (H), S/R 2785, (despite the wind here in Blackpool, UK at the moment) coming in at 56% (on Technomate TM7102 Signal Meter) with no break up on 1.06m (Triax TD110) at the moment, hope it at least stays like that for (and during) todays 3pm Premier League match which LJ's etc list as Manchester City-Southampton.

ORTB & BB24 now on same tp 4156 L (H) 2981

Also getting signal on the encrypted Viasat channels on 3724 L (H) 1836, which I've never caught before....

edit/bump @ 17:53 CET (16:53 GMT/UTC) Watched the whole game with Eng Comm on CRTV rock steady picture.... very nice :)

Blind Scan of SES @ 5°E

DOVE-TELEVISION 36% 3681 L(H) 1683
WAP TV 38% 3684 L(H) 1515

Despite the low 36-38% on Technomate Signal Quality Meter both Rock steady, no break up

Changes for me on 1W, BBC Feed seems to be down a few points on the SQ (40) breakup, but I now have a lock with AFN 4175 R was working with same key as 9E but now not doing so. Only just useable (45) on the SQ

This using my 1.5m

Changes on 55W, Sportsmax now using two TP's, 4004 now, key does not work :-( New SR, 9999. Shame as HD versions now.

Have rescanned found 4067 V, 8680, much happier :)

Also obtained a DMS BSC421 which is on the 2.4m fixed on 55W, thought would give it a try. Initial results very similar to the Titanium. Planning another go at 43W

post number 115 of this thread :)

I used the dish pointer app for my iPhone and then signal meter to fine tune. Its very low in the sky in the UK, watch for trees and hedges :)

@daao10 sounds like a nice antenna. I would like one that size.

Scan here 118 channels from 43W.

Marginal in this part of the UK :)

Just stumbled across this dual C band ring attachment. If I can find one somewhere will buy one try it out. Wonder if would work on 55W and 58W on my 2.4m.

Not allowed to post links .... So there are couple of videos out there on youtube search for CARA PEMASANGAN LNBF C BAND 2 IN 1 MATRIX.

Anyone tried one of these ?

Looking at Lyngsat WAP TV moved at the beginning of November (4/11/16 see MaRwAn's Updates for more info).

I've only got round to blind scanning SES-5 @ 5°E again today

for me WAP TV is now

5°E SES-5 DVB-S2 QPSK MPEG-4 FREQ:3699 POL:L(H) SR:1517 FEC:3/5
Technomate Signal Strength 91%, Signal Quality 38% Still with it Being C-Band perfect picture lock even at only 38%, wonder how low a db figure that really is?
