Zoland Animation to launch Chinese OTT platform for kids

MIPCOM 2017 – CANNES. Zhejiang Zhongnan Animation, more widely known as Zoland Animation, has announced Zokast Kids TV, a SVOD platform for kids in partnership with M.E.I. Group.

Zokast Kids TV caters to children of all ages, offering kids a safe environment to enjoy and have fun watching a wide variety of titles and wonderfully-produced animated series. The platform aims to engage young viewers with more interactivity, exciting games and interesting content.

The service will offer up to 1,000 hours in multiple languages. It will be launched first in South East Asia with English and Chinese languages. Subsequently, the roll-out will include North America and the rest of the world with additional languages in French, German, Italian, Neutral Spanish, Dutch. It will be available on multiple devices, targeting the fast-growing mobile and connected TV market.

Zoland Animation has chosen European digital startup M.E.I. Group and its solutions FlameFy and Okast. These solutions will help revolutionize the kids’ entertainment industry, thanks to a unique smart video streaming platform. Using big data analysis on audience and content consumption, it hopes to deliver modern, rich and friendly premium service to kids.

The service is starting its Beta trial period during MIPCOM with plans for an official launch scheduled at the end of the year.
