I have read a lot about streaming option for dreambox.
Streaming over LAN works nicely for both SD and HD channels.
but i would like to stream over internet.
I have tested it, and my router and are configured for streaming.
I can get a connection but there are bandwidth problems.
upload speed is a 5Mbps line and the internet has been 10/20 or better.
Its ok for me that streaming is with lower bitrate and resulution than standard over LAN.
is it correct that the only option is to use both a dreambox and a PC for streaming over internet?
That solution would be VLC running at PC reencode from dreambox to internet.
Isn't there a plugin or similar solution that can be run on the dreambox to reencode?
As far as I now a slingbox as able to stream to internet on embedded hardware.
