I am now seriously and actively looking in other directions, away from AZbug HD, towards a full Multimedia Centre [but not DMM!!!]!!!

The criteria are as follows:

Good HW:
-fast, capable processor,
-loadsa memory, without limitations to channels number or Favourites
-chipset easily capable of twin tuner & full streaming functions etc.
-blindscan, fairly sensitive tuners, preferably 1080p
-[at least] removable and interchangeable twin tuners, preferably a slot for either a DVB-T or DVB-C tuner, also
-PiP [watching two different channels] while recording [at least one but preferably two channels] from another transponder...
-licences paid [or hacked] for various "awkward" formats of Audio-Visual type
-PVR: either built-in HDD [at least a slot for it] or via USB or eSATA ports - recording easily done, even through 7-day EPG programming, supporting many formats
-2 x HDMI [loopthrough included]
-at least 2 x USB

Linux OS:
-Open Source, tools readily available, enthusiasts contributing easily
-"our" full package card readers/servers/emulators/CS SW working!!!

Support:
-communication with the customers as it must be, so that bugs are ironed out speedily and effectively
-at least low level drivers in the public domain
-all audio formats supported via HDMI
-[W]LAN, USB and eSATA streaming fully working to play demanding stuff to and from the box, not being held to ransom by bloatware, made by incompetent programmers!!!!
-more teams [than one] writing it all for the box, no restrictions
-servers of support, with all one needs to be directly downloaded and easily installed into the box...
-customers to be RESPECTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Optional:
-WLAN built-in
-4:2:2 formats
...and suchlike are no big deal...

So, who will listen to us, invest, risk and profit?!? Who's it gonna be? Outsiders like:

- a new Coolstream twin tuner PVR model or

- SH4 receiver or

- something completely different?!?

I don't really care if it's Enigma v. X or Neutrino v. X or something not yet seen!!! Just gather a really good team and DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The price must be well under 500 Euros - around 400- 450, by today's boxes that are coming close to this... Vu+ Duo not being there yet, for instance, for various reasons...

What say you? What did I forget?
