THE DM500 HD has a 400 MHz processor and operating system Linux. It features a 10/100 Mbit Ethernet connection that allows you to integrate the receiver into your home network, or to take advantage of connectivity 'internet.
On the back panel and 'this a tuner DVB-S2, a mini USB interface for software updates, an eSATA connection that allows you to expand the capabilities of the DM500 HD PVR with that of a connection of an external hard drive. Addition, the Dreambox has an HDMI connector and an optical digital audio output. The front panel offers a smart card reader.
The compact size of DM500 HD deserves a special mention. Its dimensions of only 195 x 130 x 40 mm (WxDxH) make it particularly suitable for discreet installation in living room. Its energy consumption is minimal, with a consumption of only twelve watts during normal operation, and less than one watt in standby mode.
