Hi There All
I am new too all this and in the market for a SAT BOX.
From what I have read the cube revo tiwn tuner PVR is good box.
But what I don't know is what it the different between the cube revo and a box from a high street??

I know this unit is flashable but what does that enable to to do with the box or does the Hard disk come blank and you need to load software on it??

Thanks

Hi M8

If you just want freesat then not much difference !

However

The Cuberevo HD PVR

has twin tuners which enable more flexibility for record and viewing different channels in HD

has a linux operating system which is continuously updated and improved. This allows customization of your box for your requirements. This also allows you to use Emus such as Incubus and Mgcamd which enables you to share a card with more than one receiver

has an internal hard drive up to 1Gb for recording your movies etc

can have a 7 day epg for all S1y channels

can be used as a replacement for a s1y hd box

can stream movies/live tv to any pc on your network

Thanks for that carrpet.
I want freesat but also want to watch eurosport but can't justify pay the stupid s!y prices just for one channel.
is this my best route?

Most important thing is the best picture quality you can get for your money.

The Humax wich I can compare to is,has some trouble with changing channels(which isn't resolved with a new firmware in 2 years).

think you ment 1TB or 1000gb (LOL):nana:

@rustyj
The cuberevo is the best box in its range
i have also the dreambox 800 and the cuberevo has beter picure then the 800.

Incubuscamd is also very stable now and can connect to any cccam servers if needed

Newcs is also realy stable for sharing your own card over lan of course!:D

Is the Cube Revo twin tunner stable??

The last thing I want is a box freezeing on my and being slow.
Has anyone got any thoughts on the stableness of this box.
I have read a few posts and some say it's unstable.

Thanks

@MAKBAR
Thanks for the reply.
I am ok with bit of setting up and the odd update but don't want a box that keeps freezing and need constent attention.

Thx

I had a cuberevo mini for a year and eventually jumped ship and bought a clone dm800 for £170 delivered from china (szbct)

its miles better than cuberevo but i do admit the picture quality is no where near as good on the dm800 but still excellent

General appearance and support is so much better on the dm800 if a 2nd tuner is important
