Convert PC to Dreambox?!!

Let take for example the Dreambox 7020HD has a 400 MHz CPU,RAM 256 Mib running Enigma2 as OS
Is to possible to convert a pc to a dreambox and running on it Enigma OS?!
I do some research on Google and found this

But IMO it's the best solution,Why?!!!If we try to Emulate a Enigma2 on a previous installed system like windows or linux we need a powerful PC to do that.
How about running Enigma directly on the PC,so an old PC with a DVB card installed can run it easily without any problem

YaVDR is very hard to configure,my knowledge are very limited in linux?!
Is there any good and easy distro with witch i can use CCcam and other plugins on my old PC?!!!
