Hi zboard, I am currently in Spain until Thursday so will have a look at this when I get back. Are you saying that you have now got crossepg working with the database files on your HDD ? I assume you are still using swap file on USB. Can you please clarify. Thanks

Hi Z board,

Thanks for your great help !

I have not been able to find the script for putting the swapfile on HDD via the green button panel. What is the best way to do this ? Is it to put in the create swapfile usb script and then amend to /media/hdd ?

Hi zboard

I too have loaded up the latest 13*** image and Crossepg 4.2. My experience is that Crossepg will only work if I use a swapfile which so far is on USB. RU using a swapfile on HDD with the 13*** image ? If you are using swapfile on HDD please advise which script you are using.
My issues with crossepg are;
takes about 5 seconds for crossepg to start up after starting the plugin
occasional hanging when I add programs from grid into scheduler requiring reboot
and if I don't use a swapfile
hanging during download - parsing summaries

With swapfile on USB I sometimes get a faliure to mount the USB during bootup and hence the swapfile won't work. So my question is - is the swapfile on HDD much more stable and reliable than on USB

Hi zboard,

Now using latest sifteam image 13***.

I discovered that my issue was a corrupted HDD. It would not format via the Cuberevo PVR menu which is always a big clue that there is a problem. So used Telnet to format the HDD using mkfs.ext2 as recommended by DGS (or Sifteam ?). Since then everything seems to be OK although I still have a swapfile on USB. I have downloaded your files but not used them yet. If ever I cannot erase recordinhs from the HDD it always means I have an issue with the crossepg.dat file on HDD. So I think in future I will use the Telnet HDD format approach when there is a fundamentally new software revision.

I do have some issues with the clock setup though - perhaps it is the daylight hours setting. Any similar experience ?

I notice that you sync 168 hours on the internal epg. When do you use internal epg and when do you use the crossepg epg. Crossepg epg has got series link. Have you found a way to series link with the internal epg ? If so please can you share how to do it ?

Clock

168 hours is 7 days, and I have never used the internal epg. I have reflashed to 13xxx and moved the var and swap to the USB stick. How ever I have also added some extra scripts to auto start the cam and to make a csv2bin file as I was going to start to play with the internal epg.

The clock thing is becoming annoying as I have got it to sync with windows time server but it still resets when it's shutoff completely.

And also in standby the clock is well off.

Clock workaround

I have a temporary workaround for the clock problem. I have it set to GMT+1 without daylight savings. Use Auto to set the time then as soon as time is updated, switch to manual. It then remains stable from my experience.

Coloured Buttons

am still suffering from coloured buttons not working following crossepg download. Once I reboot, no problem and plugins work via plugin panel. Is this just me ?

thanks i have done that with the clock and it solves the time when its turned on, sadly still not updating the bios.

i thought that was a thing with the 910 as i have the same problem with cross epg not always working intill after a reboot.

Cuberevo 9000 seems to maintain time when in manual even when powered off so I presume the bios time is corrected when a manual time is selected.

Hi Zboard, Crossepg now works as well as it did for me on the 124** version but I had hoped the need for a reboot following download would be eliminated. I also miss the picture in the top right hand corner but that is a feature of the image rather than crossepg. I am not sure that the image itself is as stable though and seesm to requires a complete reboot more often
