sounds like you may have over loaded the var file, you may have to reflash it with dreamup and a serial null modem cable

make sure you use the latest version of dreamup

If your Dreambox is not responding to the remote then chance are the network will be down only way is to flash with Dreamup.

Make sure you have correct com port selected.

i am using rs232 cable for dreamup loader,
for flashwizard i am using lan cable(networking cable)
i don,t have any idea about serial null cable, will u explain it,
what is serial null cable?
and i had used both latest version and very old version of dreamup.

Also referred to as a null modem cable. For use with the serial port on the rear of your Dreambox

my doubt also went to com port side,
due to this i had checked my rs232 cable on com port1 with other receiver(neosat1600+ and echolink700),
on which my rs232cable and com port is working.
i am watching cccame sharing on echolink at the moment with rs232 and com port1.

Are you using a USB to serial adapter? These can cause problems with DreamUP

You say rs232 cable is this the same cable you flash firmware to the Echolink with ? If so that is a null modem cable.

The Rs232 cable you use on your echolink! Do you flash firmware to the echo link with this?

It converts USB to a serial port on your PC, obviously you are not using one which is good.

Turn off the power to your Dreambox and leave it for a couple of hours then use you rs232/null cable and dreamup to reflash with.

Seems to me that if the green light is on and remote not working, you might have the leds iside the dreambox misaligned.
Try opening the box and with the front cover off, see if the remote works, If it works realign the leds with the holes in the front cover.
PS. Take all precautions agaist electrical shock, do not thouch the DB while it is connected to the mains.
