by the way, I have to say that I don't have such a problem on any other MPEG-4 H264 TV channels at all.

Im experiencing the same issue with DVB Dream 3.6, the workaround I found is that you have to reset direct show and reset device and then they will come in fine. Or you can use DVB Viewer Pro, I do not experience the same issue when I use that.

Maybe because channels were sd and then upscaled to hd. Just a thought.

It depends on the video content quality they receive from the show producer, really...
AFN might not have receive the HD quality of the show

Is called Variable bitrate (VBR).
In a trasponder the available bandwidth is routed to the most demanding stream,sports are generally a sucker for bandwidth.
Providers assign priorities for bandwidth to this channels,probably because they estimate news and sports are more important to their intended audience (armed forces) than movies.

I feel like when AFN uses 720p channels as their source (ESPN, ABC, FOX, FS1) the quality is much better than when they source from 1080i ones. Hockey from NBCSN is especially crappy. It suffers from really bad interlacing issues. They aren't processing that content properly.

Woke up early this morning excited to watch the Chiefs and Rams but got met with a black screen instead. Thankfully the update for my Freesat V7 was already ready. Many thanks to whoever is the oscam dev responsible for this update, you're awesome.

00 keys no longer active for 4.8 east Betfred TV today 22nd Nov 2018
