I still use Firefox (old version) and don't have this problem, but that said Firefox has got steadily worse over the last couple of years as it tries to be all things to everyone. (Much like Nero used to be great for DVD burning, untill they made it bigger and bigger and tried to get it to do everything and now its a steaming pile of crud, much like the current version of Firefox).
@TheHighLander. 3 things to try:
Clear all Firefox History
Go to Firefox homepage and perform a firefox reset
Or as a last resort re-install firefox or old version (Barney2222 which version do you/we use again, I can't remember)
currently posting this post reply & typing words with no prob, what type of words u r facing issue , r u using latest version shown here in the box , maybe ur firefox is also missing some addons & plugins to work stable & properly (eg: shockwave.flash , java, silverslight , vlc webplugin ..etc)
